Snow Removal: A Warning
This is a photo of damage done to a shingle roof last winter. While we are not certain of what tool caused this damage, the distraught homeowner told us the following:
They hired a contractor for winter rooftop snow removal, though the contractor was not a roofer. They are not sure of how he went about the removal throughout the winter.
They found this damage in the spring, after the contractor’s work, but he refused to fix the repair, or cover any of its cost.
Lesson: When looking for rooftop snow removal services, always choose a company with roofing experience. They will have the proper knowledge and equipment to avoid any roof damage during the removal process.
